Delhi Rain Live Updates: Delhi-NCR woke up to a downpour on Wednesday morning, with heavy rain sweeping through the region. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), intermittent light rainfall is expected throughout the day, along with generally cloudy skies. The weather department predicts a maximum temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of about 27 degrees Celsius.

News agency PTI reported that roads near the Krishi Bhawan in New Delhi saw waterlogging amid the heavy rainfall. The IMD had earlier issued a yellow alert in the city till today.

In other news, Delhi minister Atishi slammed the Centre for “injustice” in the Union Budget 2024. The allocation for the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) in the Union Budget 2024-25 remained stagnant at Rs 1,168 crore. “Unlike other states, however, you (the Centre) are not giving us our share like you are with other states. This is our biggest disappointment. We were just asking for 8-10%, which is our rightful due — half for the MCD and half for the Delhi government. How will Delhi, and by extension the country, develop further with this approach?” Atishi said.
