Ahmedabad | Inventory of residential units falls by 8% in a year: Report | Ahmedabad News

The Ahmedabad city saw the inventory of residential units fall by almost eight per cent in the first half of 2024 compared to the corresponding period in 2023, said a report launched on Monday.

The report ‘Ahmedabad Residential Overview’ was unveiled jointly by property consultant Anarock Group and CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India) Ahmedabad during the first edition of Ahmedabad Residential Real Estate Summit.

According to the data shared in the report, Ahmedabad registered the launch of more than 17,360 new units and sales of approximately 22,850 units in the first half of 2024.

“Residential real estate sales volume across Ahmedabad saw the highest-ever peak of nearly 40,020 units in 2023”, said a statement from CREDAI.

Around 42,310 units were launched in 2023 compared to 36,515 in 2022.

Deputy Vice-President at Anarock, Mandhir Vinayak, said, “Ahmedabad has beaten Chennai and Kolkata. In H1 (first half of) 2024, we approximately sold 23,000 houses”, adding that Ahmedabad ranked eighth in the country in terms of sales of residential units.

President of CREDAI, Ahmedabad, Dhruv Patel said, “All the metro cities in India publish the quarterly index which has a different zone and different areas in the city with their real estate price movement, inventory levels, new project launches etc. Ahmedabad is going to step in in this index.”
