MADHYA PRADESH is developing a site in Orchha to commemorate Lord Ram’s years in vanvaas (exile) in places that are part of the state, but Chief Minister Mohan Yadav wants more.
He has set the ball rolling to develop a light and sound show in Orchha to showcase Lord Ram’s years in exile in Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister has issued a directive to state officials to draw up a plan for the same.

House Matters
It’s been over a month since the Council of Ministers took up office, but they are yet to be allotted official houses, it is learnt. Even Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal, whose department is responsible for allotting houses to the Council of Ministers, is staying at a small bungalow in Lodhi Estate for the time being.
It is learnt that the ministry is waiting for all ex-ministers to vacate and hand over the keys of their bungalows, after which renovations, if any, will be carried out before allotting them to the new ministers. Earlier, sources say, the allotments were done as and when sets of three or four houses became available.
Inflation Cost
Keeping in mind the rising cost of essential items, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying has revised the monetary ceiling for reimbursement against purchase of briefcase/office bag/ladies purse.

As per the revised rates, secretary and additional secretary or equivalent officials can get reimbursement of up to Rs 12,500 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
The PAs too can buy a bag or purse up to Rs 4,375. Earlier, this limit was Rs 3,000. The new rates, approved by the “Competent Authority”, came into effect from July 1, 2024.
